ENHANCE A TREE CHALLENGE
We are having a friendly competition for enhancing a Portland tree. Any tree. Any way you want that will bring attention to itself and our craft fair. Be creative. Get crafty. Achieve the wonderfully mischievous. The goals for this exercise are twofold:
- Have fun and brighten people’s rainy spring days
- Attract lots of attention to the Rebel Rabbit Craft Fair without requiring a huge advertising budget (in other words, if we’re going to generate foot traffic while keeping booth space fees low--we need your help!)
Entries are due no later than April 13.
To enter: email a photo of the enhanced tree to www.rebelrabbitcraft@hotmail.com along with a short description and its location (or cross street). Please include your name(s) and email address.
Winners:
Two winning entries will receive a free booth space at an upcoming rebel rabbit craft fair of their choice. One grand rabbit winner will receive a free booth space at an upcoming rebel rabbit craft fair as well as $100 cash money (that’s a lot o’ carrots!)
Rules:
1. The tree must not be defaced or damaged in any way. Décor must be able to be removed without damage to the tree as well. (Enhanced telephone poles will also be accepted.)
2. Your “embellishment” must include www.rebelrabbitcraft.com somewhere on/near/in it to direct people to our website which will alert them to our fair (does not need to be prominent, but must be readable). Please be aware: Your beautiful and clever craftiness may be considered graffiti or mischievous to certain law enforcement agencies so participate at your own risk and expense. Also, please keep your displays tasteful and easy to clean up.
3. Within these parameters, anything goes. Get creative: ornaments, tree cozies, it can even be interactive with the viewing public.
Entries will be judged on:
1. Creativity
2. Execution
3. Visibility (Is it in a prominent location? Can it be seen from the street and/or sidewalk? Is www.rebelrabbitcraft.com legible?)
4. A rabbit theme is not required – however, extra points will be given for rabbit-themed entries.
